Little People

This was Wyatt in May of 2008 when he was about 11 months old. He was just learning to pull himself up and stand while holding onto something. I guess he was looking for a way out...
And here he is (with Teagan his partner-in-crime!) 2 years later at almost three years old. This time he can actually climb onto the window but he can't get the window open. In a couple of years I will be blogging that he can now open the window - and then in several years I will be blogging that not only can he open the window - he can let himself out to sneak out at night!!
He is turning into quiet the little character our boy Wyatt. The other day we were headed out for a playdate at some friends house and (as usual) we were running a little late. Teagan was dressed already because she always gets herself dressed in the mornings in one of her favorite outfits that she has in rotation. I was trying to get Wyatt dressed without Teagan's help - because you see not only is she in charge of what she wears - but she likes to get Wyatt dressed too - she will pick out outfits for him and say: "Wear this - it matches!" So I laid out clothes for him and he promptly declared: "I can do it." To which I replied: "OK - get dressed and Mommy is going to get herself dressed..."
Well he came around the corner and this is how he dressed himself. Shorts are on his head. His shirt is upside down and where his arm-holes are his legs have gone through! At least he got the shoes on the right feet!!! Gotta give him credit for style points and the shoes.

Teagan and Wyatt really enjoyed their time at Playschool this Spring. They recently had their last day and will be starting preschool in the Fall. They are just turning into such little people. I love it. We can have all sorts of conversations now...most of them center around the word "WHY?" If you are ever at a loss for what to say, or have a pregnant pause in a conversation with someone, or just want to keep conversation going; let me tell you the word "WHY" will keep it going. That is a favorite around our household.
Too cute right?! This is Teagan and Wyatt enjoying a bubble tubby with Daddy and making "Chef's Hats" out of bubbles.
We enjoyed a sick free 30 days in the month of May. All to come to a screching hault in June. Yesterday Wyatt got diagnosed with a double ear infection, Teagan has a sinus infection and Mommy has a sinus infection. Daddy is staying strong and so far (KNOCK ON WOOD!) has not gotten sick. And then this morning Wyatt started throwing up. Lovely. It is going to be a long weekend but I am hopefull this will be our last round of sickness before the kids start preschool...because I know they will be sick again once they start school. We have had a rough year with colds!
