We Can Climb!

Yup. One more part of life that is officially over for us: relaxing on the couch. The babies have figured out how to climb on couches, chairs, coffee tables, whatever! It was totally nerve racking at first, until they figured out how to climb off. Now they just seemlessly let themselves up and down whatever piece of furniture they like.

Whatcha got buddy?!
Ohhh right. A Booger.
New favorite pastime: climb on the chairs at G.G's and bang on the window. Good stuff.

For Sale

We got back from New York after Labor Day and Travis found out that he had been "wooed" by a new division of HP in Roseville. Lets be honest, we all know how desirable he is! :-) We decided as a family that this would be a good move for us and for the family. So he accepted the position...and off to Roseville our family of 4 goes.

By By Sweet Sweet House. Our first house together as newlyweds. Where I waddled down the hall while big and prego. We will always remember our little house that we brought the babies home to. Many fond memories of our sweet sweet little house.

New York Trip

At the end of August we took the babies on their very first, as well as their very last, plane ride. It was a nightmare. Hello????? All you people with babies, toddlers and kids????? No one had the nerve to tell us not to fly with toddlers until they are 2???? Especially not on a 6 hour cross country plane ride???? No manual. No heads up. Nada.

We were "those people" on the plane. We held up the plane when people were trying to get on, we made people move seats because United screw up, we had the screaming babies, we held up the crew getting off, did I mention the screaming babies? Yeah, we were "those people" on the back of the plane.

But once we found our way to the very end of Long Island New York to visit one of my very dear friends we had a great time. We hung out, went to The Hamptons, went to an aquarium, learned how to play with swords, Travis went "fishing" with Eddie, it was a great time. Thank you to the Smyths for opening their Beach House to the Californians with twins.

Teagan. Just never content to hang out for too long anywhere. She is always on the go.

Wyatt discovers swords. True boy.
This was us on the ferry crossing on the way to the Hamptons.

End of August

During the month of August we took a trip up to my sister's house in Roseville - outside of Sacramento. They have a nice, big new house in a great neighborhood. And more importantly, it is really warm there all year, which I LOVE. This started us thinking about the possibility of moving to Roseville... The county faire came to San Mateo at the end of the month. We thought it would be a great idea to take the babies...and it probably would have been...if it wasn't 95 degrees and on the top of a parking lot! We went to the petting zoo, we went on the merry go round (Wyatt didn't mind it but Teagan hated it), we ate deep fried food (OK - I ate deep fried food and then got sick later!) but we had a nice day at the babies first faire.

Do you know how hard it is to wrangle twins and get them to sit still for 30 seconds?!

What I Do All Day

OK - so my day can sometimes be a constant cycle of feeding, cleaning up, changing poopy diapers, feeding, cleaning up. You get the picture. If you need any more proof...please see below pictures. I PROMISE YOU: I do not make this up. I DO NOT embellish these photos one bit.
Besides the nice Mohawk he created with the cream cheese off his bagel, notice the spike in the very back of Wyatt's hair. I think I am going to start our own line of hair products. Who needs gel?!

Picnic in the Park

One of the things we really enjoy on the weekends is loading the babies up in the Wagon and walking up to the park. We pack a lunch and some toys then let the babies run around the park to try and tire them out! :-) Works for a little bit!
Wyatt is ready for T-ball already! He loves his bat - don't try and take it from him while he is awake. We wait until he has gone to bed, then we hide the bat until next time.

Teagan loves to push. She will push her wagon - push the stroller - push her brother off ride'em toys in the house - whatever she can get her hands on.

Summer Fun!

It has been an exciting, fun and BUSY summer. Not sure how it happens, but it seems like you never have enough time and it just goes by too quickly. These are the babies playing in their new cars that they got for their birthday. They love to sit in the car - climb through the car - open and shut the door - too much fun.

These are the babies getting into trouble. For some reason, they love to pull open their drawers then they proceed to pull out the drawer's contents and carry it around the house. The current fascination is their bath drawer. They will pull out the washcloths, carry them around the house, put them on their heads then walk around with the washcloths on their heads...laughing while I walk behind them and pick it all up!

We belong to the local chapter of the Twins Club - also know as Parents of Multiples. They had their annual summer BBQ - so we went with the babies. The babies had fun. Lots of other "toddlers" there for them to watch and play with.

My Sweet Sweet Miss May....This girl truly lives up to her middle name. She is named after my grandmother who was a handful. You can't tell from this picture, but this was a plate filled with bubble solution that the other "bigger kids" were playing bubbles with. T.May went over and picked up the plate - dumped out all the bubble sauce, then ate the plate! Yummy.

This picture of Travis and Wyatt melts my heart....I dreamed of this picture for so long...I just love seeing Travis walk with his mini-me. Love you both.
