Busy Month....

March was a very busy month! We had birthday parties - baptisms - a weekend trip to Sacramento so Travis could run a 1/2 marathon - Easter - whew!

Here are Teagan and Wyatt before we headed out to their friend Alissa Bella's 1st birthday.
Can't wait till the babies turn one and can eat cake like this too! Happy birthday Alissa.

These are the babies before we headed out to Chase & Blake's baptism. Aren't they too cute all done up?!
Here is my Mom with the twins and her 3 year old grandson Ben (my nephew) at my sister's house. She was trying to read to everyone - but the babies just kept grabbing at the book. Thanks Mom - anytime you want to babysit!

This is Wyatt all sporty in his workout pants and Nike tennis shoes!
Wyatt and Teagan's Grandma Goodrich - G.G. as we call her - got them a Karoke machine for Easter. They absolutely LOVE this thing. They will sit in front of it for a good amount of time listening to it - looking at themselves. Thanks G.G. This one is a keeper!

Oh no you didn't...!

I was amazed that I actually caught this on film! I was taking pictures of Wyatt and Teagan in their "Hampton's Hand-Me-Downs" (from my amazing girlfriend Coriander) and was able to photograph this sequence.
I could not get Wyatt to sit still long enough to take a picture - so I gave each of them a ring to play with so I could get a picture. Wyatt decided he wanted Teagan's ring - so he just leaned over - took it - then crawled away and hid it! Teagan had this look like: what just happened?!

Swim class at 8 months?! Travis and I decided that we wanted to get the babies used to be in the water since we will be traveling back to New York this summer and the Dude Ranch in June. So we enrolled the babies in swim class. It was such caos. Crazy. Infants, toddlers, kids, parents - running around - swimming - splashing - screaming - it was stimulation overload. Teagan loved it. She took right to the pool by smacking her hands on the water and splashing. She had a great time. Wyatt was not so sure. He was a little overwhelmed and a little nervous. He didn't cry - but he was not terribly excited. He hung in there for the whole class though. We are thinking maybe we will continue in May when they are just a tad bit older.
You gotta love a chubby baby girl in a swimsuit.
Wyatt is just the funniest baby. He is on the move these days. I have nicknamed him the Mexican Jumping Bean because he is so squirmy. He is always laughing and smiling. So fun.
Thank you to all our visitors! Last weekend Doug and Iliana stopped by - then Ben and Jill stopped by. We love having visitors - it is so good to expose the babies to different people.

8 Months Today!

As of February 25th the babies are now 8 months old. Yeah!

This is Teagan on the changing table. Both babies just love to pull on their feet and bring their feet to their mouths. Another big favorite is to actually get the shoes off - and then chew on them. :-) Both Wyatt and Teagan are now able to pull themselves up onto their knees by pulling on the crib railing. In this picture Travis helped Wyatt to get to a standing position - but Wyatt was able to hold himself. Picture of what is to come...!
Also a favorite past time is to chew on the inside railing of the crib. The top railing of the crib has a plastic guard - so they chew on the inside.
Here they are on the chair. If you look at previous posts - you can see how big they are now - how much they have grown.
Teagan now has her two bottom teeth as well as her two top teeth. Up next and making their way in are the teeth next to her front teeth - not sure what those are called! But Wyatt is getting those teeth first. Wyatt is crawling everywhere now-a-days. He does the "army crawl" style and combos that with rolls to get around. If I am not in the room I know he is on the move because he lets out a squeal when he takes off.
Teagan is on her way to crawling - but not yet. She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth - and back and forth - and back and forth - only to lurch forward and face plant! She gets very upset and cries...but she is going to figure it out.

I wonder if Wyatt is telling her:

A. It's OK - You look good with the bow on your head - I promise

OR

B. Uh - Sis - I gotta tell ya: You look funny with that thing on your headHere they are - having a great time together. I wish I could video tape them and upload it - their screams to one another are just priceless.

It Goes By So Fast....

Time is going by so quickly - I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted. We have had quite busy lives lately...and the babies are growing so quickly.

Teagan and Wyatt are quite the eaters. Right now - we are doing 4 bottle feeds a day and three solid feeds a day. They actually do like hanging out in their high chairs. After they are done eating I put them next to one another and they "talk" and laugh. I wonder if they are comparing notes about who liked the Peas?

This bouncy swing in the door way is one of their favorite things to do. They both love to sit in it and bounce.
This is their "car". The can walk in it and move it all around. I tell them to be careful - that it has to last until they are 16.

Here they are in their Valentine's onesies. I just love to see their pudgy little legs. Being winter babies - we never get to see them because they are always so bundled up. This is Wyatt laughing in typical Wyatt fashion!

We had a big outing to Roseville in January for my sisters birthday party. Don't worry Kim - won't publish what number it was! My brother-in-law was amazed at all the "gear" we traveled with. Two highchairs, two pak-n-plays, toys, clothes, diapers, food, etc, etc. We basically moved in for a one night stay! We had a great time. It is good for us to get out of the house and have the babies experience new environments...even though it is a lot of work.
Wyatt giving T.May some love.
Yes, her dress is wet. The poor thing. Shortly after our visit her two top teeth starting coming in. Drool is a big part of our lives these days.

Teagan's top two teeth have come through. It does look so painful...

Wyatt is working on his two middle top teeth - but in the meantime - some other tooth is working its way in. This is a great shot - can you see the drool in action?!
Friends of ours bought us a crib and called it a "baby jail." Hmmmm....Yes....now I understand!

This was our first day at the park. We live just two blocks away from a really nice park with an infant play area. It is amazing, but the babies love to sit and watch all the toddlers run around and play. It took me about 45 minutes to get packed up and get them there...we stayed for about 30 minutes!
Yup - I put Teagan in blue all the time. It is a good color on her don't you think?!

We had a park playdate with the Affrunti boys. It is quite a sight to see two sets of twins and two blond mom's taking their picture all the time! The babies have fun together because they are all at the same age - doing the same things - and wanting to chew on the same toys - all at the same time! Plus - it gets Gina and I out of the house. Any excuse to get off the hamster wheel.

Courtesy of Teagan!

This morning I had the babies sitting on the couch with me. I give them a pile of toys and sit them up on the couch like little people. I turned away for a second to read something and when I looked back - Wyatt was on his side. So I sat him back up and discovered his new hairstyle. Apparently while he was down trying to get at a toy - Teagan thought it might be a toy to chew on - so she sucked on his head!

Thanks Sis.

Uh, We are big kids now Mom....

It is official - the babies can sit up on their own now. Yippeee!!! They are still a bit wobbly - and we always think of that song: "Weebles Wobble But They Don't Fall Down."

Wyatt can sit up great - but he much prefers to be on his tummy rolling around the room and getting ready to crawl. He can get up on all fours and rock back and forth...but no crawling yet. It is coming though...! Too soon...I am not sure we will ever be ready for two of them crawling at the same time.

The babies are growing so quickly. I took this picture of them at their Learning Table the other day for Travis while he was in London - and I was amazed at how grown up they looked. They just look so sophisticated sitting there!

They love playing together these days. It is the cutest thing to see them laugh at something together - or - laugh at one another. More often than not - Teagan will let out a big scream and Wyatt will be a little startled then laugh at her.

Here they are: Six Months and Four Weeks.

We have teeth!

We last posted that the babies were getting their bottom teeth in at the end of November/beginning of December. I finally have proof!
Can you see Teagan's two bottom teeth?
It is really tough getting Wyatt's teeth - but I finally did it!

Here is a photo of them - snapped on Christmas Day - they don't look anything alike.

Thanks to their Ga'Ma for these adorable little outfits. How mad are these kids going to be at me when they are teenagers for all the butt shots?!
