THE BAND IS BACK TOGETHER!

7/16/07 was homecoming for the Goodrich family. Teagan came home, joining her little brother Wyatt, which has made a new mother and father very happy!

Teagan has kicked any signs of prematurity and is a healthy little girl, weighing in at 6 lbs. 9 ounces. Her brother Wyatt is doing everything he can to catch up and is up to 4 lbs. 15 ounces and gaining every day.

This is the first picture of them together....Mommy waited a very long time - and sometimes not so patiently - to see this picture. Now it all seems real. Seeing them together in their crib makes us realize why we endured all that we did - to make our dream come true.

Let the mayhem begin!! :-) We hear we will go through around 30 diapers a day - 28 bottles a day - and a least one load of laundry a day. So we will let you know if that actually happens - or if it is all an urban "twin" myth.

Love,
The Goodrich's

PS. We know - we know. We are trying to get them on a schedule!! :-)

They are here!

As the proud parents of two adorable little newborn babies - we would like to take a moment to share with you - the arrival of:

Teagan May Goodrich
6 Lbs
18 1/2 Inches
Born June 25, 2007 @ 8:18 am

Wyatt Clinton Goodrich
4 Lbs 12 Oz
18 Inches
Born June 25, 2007 @ 8:19 am

The babies were delivered via c-section at Sequoia Hospital here in San Carlos. Both babies are doing great. Wyatt was called a "Hearty Lad" by his Irish nurse in the hospital - and we think that suits him perfectly because although he is l ittle - he is hearty. He is perfectly healthy and was able to "room in" during the hospital stay which meant he was with us in our room the entire time. Although we saw the dreaded "Mir conium" diaper - the nurses all changed those! :-) But don't fret - lots of diaper changing going on now!

Teagn was born first as Baby A. I was so relieved to hear her wailing once they got her out. It finally became a little more real for us at that point that yes, in fact, we were actually becoming parents. Teagan was born very healthy - but her lungs were not yet ready to be out in the real world just yet. She was way too comfortable in the womb thank you very much! I can hear her now! :-) As a result she is spending some time down at Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in their nursery while she continues to develop. We go visit her every day. We are not sure when she will be home - but when she does get home - Betty bar the door because she is a feisty one!

Life since we got home on Friday has been nothing short of hectic. Duh right? But we are coping and taking it day by day right now - one feeding and diaper change at a time.

We love you,
